Actor Thiyagu has announced his decision to quit the DMK. He has been a loyal member for more than two decades. The actor felt that he had been given short shrift during the elections. Though he had done his utmost for the party, no respect had been given for his hard work and seniority and less deserving candidates were given superior posts.
Thiyagu said that his political connections were affecting him in the film industry as well. Having made the decision to quit he is yet to decide what he will do in the future. He added that he does not hold a grudge against anyone and still respects DMK chief, Karunanidhi.
