Vishal plays a police office in Vedi, said Prabu Deva, the film’s director. He added that Vedi will be for Vishal what Samy did for Vikram. It is worth noting here that Vikram played a police officer in Samy and went on to earn rave reviews for his role and body language.
Prabu Deva said that soon after Vedi’s release, Vishal’s role as the police officer will be the talk of the town. In Vedi, Sameera Reddy plays the female lead and her role has been etched out well, said Prabhu Deva.
Though this film is a remake of the Telugu movie Souryam, it will be completely different from the original version, Prabhu Deva said. Music director Vijay Anthony is now working on the re-recording and the film will be released on September 29th.
