Priya Anand, recently seen in Nootrenbathu as Siddharth's heroine, is Bollywood bound. She will be making her debut in a film to be directed by Balki, acclaimed maker of films like Paa and Cheeni Kum. It may be mentioned here Balki works with a lot of South Indian talents and he was insistent that Ilaiyaraja do the music for both the films. Vidya Balan also has Southern roots. Priya Anand seems to be the next in line and she is hoping that she does as well as Vidya Balan.
The pretty actress made her debut in Tamil with Vamanan opposite Jai. She has worked in quite a few Telugu films and now she is off to conquer a new territory. The buzz is that Abhishek Bachchan will be her co-star. And in more exciting news, Hollywood actress Meryl Streep might also come onboard this project!
