Music director Yuvan Shankar Raja married Shilpa at Tirupati amidst close family and friends. The wedding took place last morning, September 1st, 2011, at 10:20 am. Though Yuvan has kept this wedding a closely guarded secret, his wedding turned out to be a much publicized affair.
It may be mentioned here that Yuvan’s first marriage with Sujaya ended in a divorce in the year 2008. Since then, the music director had been concentrating in his work; but finally decided to enter wedlock once again, as he found Shilpa to be very compatible with him.
