With the controversies surrounding Thuppakki as being offensive to the Muslim community, Vijay’s father S.A.Chandradeskhar has let out an emphatic statement that Vijay respects all religions. SAC wishes his son to be in the hearts of all mothers and clarified that they didn’t intend to hurt the sentiments of Muslims in anyway.

He also gave an exciting little tidbit that Vijay would be playing a Muslim in his next film. it has to be recalled that Vijay had played a Muslim named Rahim in his 1995 release Chandralekha.
