South cinema goes international!

The South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) will be held this year from June 21 - 22 for the first time ever to honor excellence in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada cinema. Organizers have said that the aim is to make sure that South cinema gets the recognition it deserves at an International level and also to increase the overseas market for it. SIIMA will be an annual affair from now, the organizers added. 

South cinema has emerged as a force to be reckoned with in terms of sheer star power and the quality of movies churned out and is fast becoming recognized in International film circles. It is expected that all the top stars in the four industries will be in attendance and there will be some great performances as well.
