Aram Sei is a charity organization based in San Francisco, formed to help grassroots charities to raise funds for the underprivileged children for their education, shelter, clothing, food and health care. The organization is run by a group of local NRIs in San Francisco region. When Aram Sei started its operations, it needed funds to get off the ground. Two local businesses, WITA travels and Madras Café and Groceries came forward in support of the initiative.

Speaking on why they decided to support Aram Sei, Lakshmi Bhajana of WITA Travels says “I support Aram Sei as their goals are very close to my heart. In addition, we have been supporting many other organizations such as Cancer Research and Relief Trust, Sankara eye foundation, Mercy Home in Chennai, AID, and Derawal Sewa Sangh as we understand the importance of giving back.”

According to Neetu Mehta of WITA Travels, “We have been fortunate to be among the businesses that enjoy the support of the local community here. In fact, we are expanding our business to include event management, conferences, and meetings for corporations. Supporting Aram Sei is one way of saying thank you to the community. It also gives us a lot of satisfaction when we see that our actions can positively impact people.”

Ramamoorthy of Madras Café and groceries says, “Organizations like Aram Sei give me a hope that we can create a better place for our children through positive and meaningful actions. It’s refreshing to see that a bunch of ordinary folks can band together and translate "willingness to act" into concrete actions. We, at Madras Café & Groceries, consider ourselves an integral part of this community that has nurtured us. Therefore it becomes imperative that we do everything we can to return the favor.”

If it excites you to help people in need, support Aram Sei by donating online at www.aramsei.org.
