Singaiyil Gurushetram, with the tagline 24 hours of anger, will be released on March 25th, 2011. The film has been awarded with a U/A certificate recently and the censor board officials who have seen this film lauded the efforts of director TT Dhavamani and the actors.
Singaiyil Gurushetram will be released in Tamil Nadu by Metro Films Pvt Ltd and in Malaysia by Suara Networks (M) SDN BHD and in Sri Lanka by Events Concepts under the title Gurushetram – 24 hours of anger.
The movie revolves around the protagonist Prakash and his trials and tribulations in protecting his mentally challenged brother from the Singapore underworld and drug lords.
The director of photography is the European Award winning cinematographer, Lucas Jodogne, production designer is Veeraraghavan, Praveen KL (Chennai 60028, Saroja, Goa), the Tamil Nadu state award winning editor, is in charge of the editing. The only song in the film is written by Madhan Karky! The original score is by Jaggubhai fame Rafee with Malaysia's flute artist Sesatre Silsila and the theme music of the film is by Sri Lankan Rap artiste Dinesh Kanagaratnam.
