The Indo-Japan Chamber of Commerce organized a condolence meet for the Japanese Tsunami victims. Several film personalities and bureaucrats including Rajinikanth, Siva Kumar, Kalaipuli S Thanu, L Suresh, Ram Kumar, Editor Mohan, and Pushpa Kandasamy participated in this meet.

Rajinikanth expressed deep anguish over the Tsunami striking the country and said that the Japanese are very diligent and sincere people and their strength lies in their spirituality. The Superstar also revealed that the Japanese Prime Minister and several dignitaries have invited him to Japan.

Rajini enjoys special bonding with the Japanese and he has several fans there. His popularity in Japan soared high right from the day Muthu was screened in theatres there.
