Gautham Menon seems to have taken on a huge task in attempting a tri - lingual. From the beginning, there appear to have been hiccups. Ram was supposed to be the male lead in the Telugu version but he opted out and had to be replaced with Nani. Now the Hindi version of the film has run into troubled waters.
Apparently the Hindi version does not have any takers because Gautham's recent release, his remake of Vinnaithandi Varuvaya called Ek Deewana Tha failed at the box office. Besides producers feel that Aditya Roy Kapoor who had supporting roles in Guzaarish and Action Replay is not bankable as a solo hero. So the film has been stalled. Gautham has maintained that Aditya had some date issues so the Hindi version is delayed but work is proceeding smoothly in Tamil and Telugu.
