2012 has seen a variety of genres, action, romance, fantasy, sci-fi, comedy and many more. This year has also seen films like Muppozhudhum Un Karpanaigal and 3, which had mental illnesses as the essence of the story. This july 28th will see another film on mental disability.

18 Vayasu directed by Panneerselvam of ‘Renigunta’ fame, is a story about a mentally unstable youngster and his way of expressing his emotions. ‘Renigunta’ Jhonny and Gayathri has paired up for the film. Shakthi has handled the camera and Charles Bosco has delivered tunes for the film. Nic Arts, who is presently producing Vaalu and Vettai Mannan, has produced this film.
