Urumi’s premiere show was held at the Four Frames Theatre in Chennai recently. The celebrities spotted at this show were Yuva, Prasanna, Jayam Ravi, Sibiraj, Bharath, Malgudi Subha, Swetha Mohan, UTV Dhananjayan, Ashwin Sekar, Santhosh Sivan and others.
The Malayalam version of the film hit the screens on March 31st 2011 and was a success at the box office. Urumi stars Prithviraj, Prabhu Deva, Genelia D'Souza, Nithya Menon, Jagathy Sreekumar, and Alexx ONell. Deepak Dev has scored the music. Santhosh Sivan, apart from handling the camera, has also directed this film. Urumi has been jointly produced by Prithviraj, Santosh Sivan and Shaji Natesan.
