The solo show of paintings by senior artist S. Venkatachalapathy, Director, Sri Annai Kamakshi Kalaikudam, was inaugurated at The Welcome Art Gallery, Hotel Chola Sheraton in Chennai. This exhibition will be on till the 10th of July.
Cinematographer B. Kannan inaugurated the exhibition and the guests of honor were directors Vetri Maaran and Samy, and Art Director B.G. Magie. The theme of the exhibition ranges from nature to current affairs to spirituality and religion.
A press note states that S. Venkatachalapathy has completed M.F.A., Master Degree in Painting at the Government College of Fine Arts, Chennai. He has also obtained Diploma in Modern Art at Modern Art School, Salem and Diploma in Cartooning at Santanu Chithra Vidyalaya, Chennai. He has completed a “Survey of Art Therapy” course in George Washington University.
