UTV Motion Pictures, the biggest production house in India has signed a three film contract with Lingusamy and his banner, Tirupathi Brothers. The deal is to co-produce, market, and distribute the films - Vettai, Vazhakku En 18/9, and Kumki.
Vettai which is being directed by Lingusamy has Maddy, Arya, Sameera Reddy and Amala Paul in the lead role. The film will have equal measures of action, romance, and family sentiment. Maddy has worked hard on his physique for this cop character and the expectations are high for this film.
Vazhakku En 18/9, is a Balaji Sakthivel film with a fresh cast. The maker of films like Kadhal and Kalloori, Balaji Sakthivel is expected to deliver another hard hitting film. Music is by debutant Prasanna. The movie will be ready for release by September.
Kumki marks the debut of Prabhu's son and Sivaji's grandson, Vikram. It will be directed by Prabhu Solomon whose Myna was widely appreciated. In addition to this, UTV will also be releasing Cheran - Prasanna starrer Muran and Mysskin's Mugamoodi with Jiiva.
