While the team behind the silent film, The Artiste, has been celebrating its success in Los Angeles post the triumph at Hollywood’s highest honours in the Oscars, back home in Chennai, the film is witnessing houseful shows.
Sources say that the theatres were full on Monday evening and night and it can be attributed to its spectacular win at the awards. The film won five Academy Awards including best picture, becoming the first silent film to win at Hollywood's highest honours since the original Oscar ceremony 83 years ago.
