One of the producers of Masala Café, Kushboo, has said that title has to be changed. Realizing that the film may not get entertainment tax exemption from the state government if it is awarded an U certificate as Masala Café is not entirely a Tamil word, director Sundar C has decided to opt for a change.

Kushboo and Sundar C are frantically looking for better alternatives. A new title expected to be announced very soon. Masala Café has Vimal, Mirchi Shiva, Anjali, Oviya, Santhanam and others in the star cast. Vijay Ebenezer has scored the music for this film.
