The folk song Ange Idi Muzhangudhu on village God Karuppasamy is very popular in the villages of Tamil Nadu. The makers of the film Udumban had decided to include this song in their film and it was shot on actor Dileep Roger playing lord Karuppasamy.
The villagers who gathered to watch the shooting turned oracular on hearing this powerful song thereby stalling the shooting. According to the Udumban crew, the song was initially planned to be shot in five days, but went on for eight days due to this divine intervention.
Each time a group of persons turned oracular, the priest had to pacify them with sacred ash and lemon and this was one of the reasons for the delay.
