After impressing the audience with his looks and performance in films like Unnai Pol Oruvan, Abhiyum Naanum & Kandahar, handsome hunk Ganesh Venkatraman has signed his next project in Hindi titled Kuch Log with the star cast involving Anupam Kher, Gulshan Grover, Rati Agnihotri, Arya Babbar and others. The film shoot begins in March. Although most of the cast is finalized, the hunt for the lady lead for Ganesh Venkatraman is still on and the crew will decide once they zero in on the right face.
Noted filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt directed the Muhurat shot of the film recently in Mumbai. The film is being produced by True Media Talkies and directed by debutante director Shuja Ali. The movie, set in the historical city of Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow is based on social issues of the present times and is in the genre of films like ‘Aamir’ and ‘Mumbai Meri Jaan’. The story is set around the time when the terrorist attacks in Mumbai on 26/11 took the whole nation by shock.
Said Ganesh “I am extremely excited to work with stalwarts like Anupam Kher and Gulshan Grover whose body of work I greatly admire. I play a young bank executive. Gulshan plays my father in the film who is a staunch Muslim. Anupam Kher plays a doctor. The story revolves around how Anupam and I join hands to save what we think is more important than anything else in the world – a human life. The strong message that the film gives out is -‘Saving one human life is like saving the entire humanity’.
Meanwhile Ganesh has just wrapped up shooting for his Tamil film ‘Pani Thuli’. He will have 2 Tamil releases this year – ‘Muriyadi’ and ‘Pani Thuli’.
