Director Mani Ratnam and actor Vivek Oberoi is said to have met Rahul Gandhi, the general secretary of the AICC. No, Mani does not want to cast the handsome Gandhi in his film, if that’s your guess!
The three had discussed about philanthropy and a particular charity project that has been undertaken by Mani Ratnam. The director has been involved in such charitable projects in Tamil Nadu for long and has now come up with new ideas and projects and wants to expand throughout India.
It is noteworthy that actor Vivek Oberoi is also an active philanthropist. Rahul Gandhi is said to have listened patiently and was very impressed about the project and has promised all help possible and get government support for this cause. Way to go Mani Ratnam!
