Director Sai Ramani, who has directed Singam Puli, which is due for a release on February 11th, 2011, has said that he thought it was unnecessary to narrate the script to Divya Spandana before signing her up as she is a considerably new actress but Divya was adamant on hearing the script.

The director adds that he had to go to Bangalore to meet the actress and discuss the script and Divya agreed to star in the film immediately.

Revealing further about the Jiiva-starrer Singam Puli, Sai Ramani says that there is a kuthu song in the film which will make sure that Divya regains her initial screen name ‘Kuthu’ Ramya.
