Vikram made a sensational debut in Bollywood with Mani Ratnam's Raavan with Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai. The critics were impressed with his work and the star made a favorable impression with the audience as well. Now he is all set to do another fully fledged Hindi film.

To be directed by Mani Ratnam's assistant, Bejoy Nambiar, the film has been entitled David. This director made a huge impact with his film Shaitaan and David also promises to be different. It will be about a gangster but will also include commercial elements. Vikram said that the film is going to be a quickie and is likely to be released in 2012.
