late in Tamil? We thought as much too. 7aum
Arivu is not quite action and Osthe has a
heady mix of sentiment and romance as well.
But worry no more. In our stocktaking, we
found out that there is a lineup of action
movies waiting to be released soon. Read on.
This week's release Prashanth's Mambattiyan
is an out-and-out action entertainer. A remake
of the eighties blockbuster of the same name
- well, almost - Prashanth will reprise the
role his dad made legendary and Meera Jasmine
will relive Saritha's role. Expect plenty
of action. And romance.
Vikram's Rajapattai seems to deal with the
real estate mafia and we already know how
much action we can expect from the mere mention
of the genre. Vikram joins hands with the
promising director Suseenthiran, whose movies
are sensible entertainers.
It doesn't take rocket science to figure
out what Vettai is all about with a self-explanatory
title like that. Written and directed by Lingusamy,
Vettai has Arya and Madhavan in lead roles.
And Maddy sheds his cute smile and lifts the
pistol in his hands turning tough - something
he did for Lingusamy years ago with Run.
