‘Iyakkunar Sigaram’ K Balachandar has been selected for the International ANR Award this year. This was announced by Tollywood’s veteran actor A Nageswara Rao, father of Nagarjuna. The award distribution ceremony will be held on January 11th, 2011 in Hyderabad.

 Both A Nageswara Rao and Nagarjuna met the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy to invite him to grace the occasion. The CM will hand over the award to K Balachander during this function.

 On selecting K Balachander, Nageswara Rao said that the director has given several hits in Tamil and Telugu besides directing a number of television serials.
