Kamal Hassan is still livid about the controversy which made him remove a song from his latest movie Manmadhan Ambu. "I would certainly not have deleted the song if I were the producer", claimed Kamal in a recent interview to a television channel. He also was not happy that the song was removed in spite of the Censor Board approving it by giving a 'U' certificate.
The song in discussion is the 'Kamal Kavithai' which has lyrics by Kamal and sung by himself and Trisha. The words 'Thonthi Ganapathi' were not approved by a religious outfit. Iterating that it is a commonly used term for Lord Ganesh in prayers, Kamal told that he never meant to hurt people's sentiments. "I'm cornered as I'm a rationalist as the same words sound right if others say it", said Kamal.
