Gautham Menon’s proposed Hindi remake of Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya is shelved, according to some sources. But our enquiries have now revealed that the project is well in the making and Gautham is intent on remaking it.

Prateik Babbar has been signed up to play Silambarasan’s role in this remake and there is a buzz that Madarasapattinam-fame Amy Jackson may play his on-screen pair.

The delay in this project taking off is because Prateik is busy promoting Dhobi Ghat, an Aamir Khan production venture.

Meanwhile, Gautham is busy finalizing the shooting spots for this Hindi remake.
