Kaviarasu Kannadasan Art and Literature Fest, organized by the Malaysia Tamil Makkal, was held at Kamarajar Arangam in Chennai on December 10, 2010. Noted music composer MS Viswanathan was the chief guest for this event. Poet Kamakoti gave the introductory speech and the head of the function committee, Pandithurai, welcomed the gathering. Popular songs penned by Kaviarasu Kannadasan were rendered by the music group headed by TL Thyagarajan.
Several celebrities including TM Soundarajan, PB Srinivas, LR Easwari, Malaysia Vasudevan, SP Muthuraman, Shankar Ganesh, Kumari Sachu, Rajasri, CID Sakuntala, Sivakumar, SN Parvathi and Vani Jayram attended the event. MN Rajam and AL Raghavan were honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award on behalf of the Malaysia Tamil Makkal.
