The Mozart of Madras, A.R. Rahman is a predominant presence in Bollywood as well and his music for Imtiaz Ali's Rockstar, released in late 2011, was spellbinding to say the least. This score has received a total of seven nominations at the 3rd Chevrolet Global Indian Music Academy (GIMA).
The nominations include Best Music Arranger and Programmer, Best Background Score, two nominations for Best Playback Singer Male along with Javed Ali and Mohit Chauhan, Best Music Director, Best Film Song and Best Film Album.
