According to a press note, “The second outlet of The Lounge in Chennai at GEE GEE Emerald, Valluvar Kottam High Road saw the introduction of ‘The Lounge Journals’, a national initiative by Café Coffee Day, the leading trend setting chain of coffee cafes in India.”
The Lounge Journals are a chain of tête-à-tête sessions with celebrities and experts on the hobbies and passions of the youth. The Lounge Journals began with celebrity photographer G. Venket Ram. He conducted a session on photography titled ‘The Perfect Cuppa’, and a group of students and photography enthusiasts participated in it.
The press note states that Venket Ram is famous for his annual calendar and has worked with some of the celebrities like Nayantara, Genelia D'Souza, Nagarjuna, Shruti Haasan, and Vikram.
Venket Ram after completing the session said that “The session was fantastic and exciting, thanks to The Lounge. The attendees were receptive and extremely creative themselves. And the setting was perfect for a heart-to-heart chat. But the best part was when I demonstrated the coffee cup shot, which I’ve never done earlier. Though I’ve frequented The Lounge a few times, shooting the coffee cup never occurred to me. It was a great experience. I’m pleased to be the first on The Lounge Journals series.”
