Dhanush has confirmed that Shruti Haasan will be playing his lead pair in 3, as per the original plan. Debut director Aishwarya Dhanush wanted to have Shruti onboard for her flick 3, but the actress could not allot dates. They then zeroed in on Amala Paul but she had to back off due to one of her Telugu projects.
Following Amala Paul’s inability to allot dates for 3, Aishwarya and Shruti re-worked their schedules and the actress agreed to be a part of 3. With everything settled, 3 is expected to go on floors very soon.
