Silambarasan's plans to make a film called Kettavan had been put on hold for various reasons. His fans are disappointed because the posters featuring STR looking darkly gothic and sexy had boosted their expectations. Besides STR himself has admitted that the project is one that is close to his heart.
The latest buzz is that Kettavan has come out of hibernation. STR might just be making the film himself since Kettavan is his own baby. As a director STR has already made his mark with Manmadhan which was a big success and helped establish him as a formidable talent. This film will commence shooting sometime next year once STR finishes putting the final touches on the script and zeroes in on the rest of the cast and crew. By then, it is expected that he will also complete work on his other projects.
