Thanks  to the ongoing war between FEFSI and TFPC many big films have suffered delays with their release dates getting pushed back by months. So the makers of small films that have been languishing in the cans have seized the opportunity to release their films in the absence of competition.

As many as four small films - Asthamanam, Mazhai Kalam, Nandu Basky, and Varudangal 20 are releasing today. Ooh la la la and Leelai will also be releasing this month. Director Rajesh's OKOK with Udhayanidhi and Hansika is the only big Tamil New Year release.
