the super hit songs including ‘Devadhayai
Kandein’ in Kadhal Kondaen and
‘Sakkarai Nilavae’ in
Youth now seems to be living the lines
of the song. |

Singer
Harish Raghavendra is being
searched by the city police
over the last few days following
a complaint from his wife. He
and his wife had been living
separately for quite some time
now due to marital discord.
The complaint made by his wife
is believed to be related to
dowry.
Harish Raghavendra as a singer
has quite a few hits to his
name including Bharathi. He
had met his wife Umadevi first
in Singapore. The two of them
had later got married. |

They
also have a girl child. But unfortunately
differences in opinion forced them
to live separately. Umadevi returned
to Singapore and Harish continued
to live in his Chennai residence.
He then went ahead and filed a divorce
petition. This does not seem to have
gone down well with his wife who arrived
in Chennai yesterday and filed a complaint
against Harish with the police commissioner. |

The
complaint has alleged Harish
of accepting ornaments and cash
worth Rs.25 lakhs as dowry.
Further, Umadevi has accused
Harish of having a relationship
with another woman, due to which
he allegedly forced Umadevi
out of his house. The complaint
has even accused him of resorting
to violence to get rid of Umadevi.
Following this complaint the
city police are on the lookout
for Harish.
Though the truth of the matter
is not evident, the complaint
made is a serious one, which
can have dire consequences for
Harish. We all hope that the
issue is sorted out amicably. |

His
ladylove is turning out to be the
biggest concern for him. It might
be actually an understatement to say
that the lady in his life, the one
he wants to be out of his life, is
just a cause of concern. The things
that are happening to him or rather
being done to him are enough to drive
anyone to despair. That is exactly
what seems to have happened to him
now. Harish Raghavendra broke down
during an interview he gave to a leading
newspaper recently. |

He
recounts how, he and his wife
Umadevi had fallen in love and
tied the knot in 2003. But things
turned sour soon after with
Umadevi turning out to be very
suspicious of Harish’s
activities. According to him,
she doubted his fidelity. Things
soon got out of hand and Umadevi
left home to join her sister
in Malaysia. This was almost
2 years back. What has happened
since seems to be acts that
were aimed at getting Harish
into trouble.
He was also alleged to have
an affair with Jaya TV anchor
Prathiba. His wife has accused
him that he had extra marital
affair with Prathiba –
while Harish maintained that
it was a charge that only maligned
their friendship. |

They
were both missing when Police went
to their houses to for interrogation.
They are now going to file for anticipatory
bail.
The first such complaint over dowry
extortion was squashed by a court
which concluded that the case had
been fabricated. Harish said that
his wife has since constantly been
trying to make life difficult for
him. The latest in a series of attempts
is the complaint to the commissioner
of Chennai accusing him again of dowry
extortion. He has said that Umadevi
is trying to misuse the law that was
made to protect women. |

All
this turned out to be too much
for Harish, who has filed a
divorce petition in court. But
things seem to have gone even
more awry with Umadevi making
more serious allegations. She
has accused Harish of having
a relationship with a certain
other woman. This seems to have
been the greatest pain for Harish,
who has said that the particular
woman is only a friend and that
her marriage had been fixed
for next month. |

literally shed tears at this point and
said that it was unfortunate that totally
unconcerned names were being dragged
into the picture.He also was most concerned
about his ageing parents, who quite
naturally might be losing sleep over
the future of their son. |
