The Patty Jenkins directorial Wonder Woman has become the highest-grossing live action film by a female director. The film has earned about $615 million, which converts to over Rs 3,900 crore approximately, worldwide. Previously, Phyllida Lloyd's 2008 musical 'Mamma Mia!' held the record with earnings of $609.8 million. Notably, Jenkins also holds the record for the biggest US weekend opening by a female director.
