Air India employees union has reportedly demanded the NITI Aayog's Arvind Panagariya to waive the airline's debt instead of selling it to a private company. They also asked Panagariya to settle the salary dues of 25,000 employees before privatising Air India. Notably, the government has given in-principle approval for disinvestment of Air India.
