Vijay Mallya found guilty of contempt of court

Liquor baron Vijay Mallya was held guilty of contempt of the Supreme Court on Tuesday. Mallya has been ordered to appear before the top court on July 10 and can face a jail term or fine or both if he does not show up in court. The contempt petition was moved against him by a group of banks that have been trying to recover around 9,000 crores in unpaid loans to his failed Kingfisher Airlines.
