Otto Warmbier, the 22-year-old US student, who was sent back to the US by North Korea last Tuesday on humanitarian grounds, has reportedly died. The student was serving 15 years of hard labour in North Korea for attempting to steal a propaganda sign from a hotel. While Pyongyang said he had contracted botulism, his family has accused North Korea of subjecting him to “awful torturous mistreatment” in detention.
