According to reports, the TN government is expected to make it mandatory for all State government employees to admit their children only in government operated schools. This comes amid speculations that Education Minister KA Sengottaiyan is likely to announce major reforms on June 7. Notably, the same system was earlier deployed in Uttar Pradesh in 2015, but an interim stay was granted on the order, and the case is still pending.
