Tamil Nadu government had reportedly extended the fishing ban period into 61 days. According to reports, TN government passed an order on Friday announcing the increase in the number of ban days. Notably, Tamil Nadu is currently observing 45-days of the fishing ban. Tamil Nadu government had earlier announced that it will increase the fishing ban to conserve the marine life.
