Three brothers identified as S Manikandan(15), S Shakthivel(13) and S Sanjay(12) drowned in a lake at Poonthandalam near Kundrathur on Wednesday after the family came to Kundrathur to attend a function last week. The trio, who didn't know swimming, were trapped in the sludge and drowned. The family searched everywhere as they hadn’t returned. They found the children's dresses, watches and cell phone on the banks of the lake. Some residents entered the water and found the bodies of the boys.
