Arnav Uppalapati, a 17-year-old Indian-American teen, was arrested on Friday in North Carolina in connection with the murder of his mother. Uppalapati’s 51-year-old mother, Nalini Tellaprolu, was strangled on December 17, 2015 with a plastic bag over her head. Uppalapati was 16 when the incident took place in December 2015. Later, autopsy report suggested that she may have been beaten before she was strangled.
