Apple to use ‘L’ shaped batteries from LG in iPhone

Apple has reportedly signed a pact with LG Chem of South Korea for the supply of ‘L’ shaped batteries for its iPhones. LG Chem has invested hundreds of billions in a dedicated line for the purpose and will produce “L-shaped” batteries for next year’s iPhone. Notably, users can experience these new ‘L’ shaped batteries on the iPhone 9.
