The Government school teachers in Madhya Pradesh were given special duties of serving food in a marriage function, by the district educational officer. One of the teachers serving food said, "It was humiliating to hear people calling us 'poori wala' or 'sabji wala'. Notably, the state CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan also attended the marriage function.
