While patients suffer space crisis, new hospital built of Rs 10 crore remains closed

Awaiting for the inauguration for the past 6 months, a three-storey hospital in Tiruvannamalai’s Cheyyar reportedly remains closed. In the existing hospital, there will be at least 150 in-patients every day and around 1,500 outpatients will be present in the hospital on any given day, according to reports on Times of India. Due to space constraint, many patients are made to stay on the floor. Only patients with critical medical conditions are reportedly provided with bed. The details have reportedly been sent to the medical service’s directorate and the announcement on the new building’s inauguration is still awaited.
