While motorists in Tamil Nadu are required to carry original driving licence on their ride, as per a recent order, Digilocker, a government of India initiative allows you not to carry the original license. In Digilocker, available as an Android app, people can store their licences in digital format, and produce it when needed. According to the government rules, documents stored in DigiLocker are considered original.
