A 26-year-old man from Thirunelveli, whose repeated marriage proposals were rejected by a woman and her family, reportedly committed suicide on Tuesday. The deceased, allegedly frustrated by the rejection by the woman and her family, first tried to murder the woman. He attacked her with a knife and when she fell unconscious in a pool of blood, thought that she was dead. He went back home and hanged himself.
