Reportedly a 32-year-old man died immediately after being hit by a train at the level crossing in Korukkupet. The police patrol was on general rounds in the area, and the men in the liquor shop near the railway track started to run when spotted by the police. The man tried to run away from the police and tried to cross the rail track when he was instantly hit by a train. The locals alleged that the police were the cause of his death. The railway police have registered a case and an investigation is on.
