Man caught with knife near O Panneerselvam

According to police reports, a man allegedly found carrying a kitchen knife caused a flutter at the airport in Tiruchirappalli when former Tamil Nadu chief minister O Panneerselvam was being received. The man has been identified as Solairajan, 50, of TVS Tollgate area in Trichy. He is a barber by profession and has been an AIADMK member for the last 30 years, added reports. During the interrogation, Solairajan said he was keeping the knife for his self-defence.
