All trains arriving at Chennai Central station were reportedly delayed on Thursday due to a local train derailment at 07:00 a.m. The front two wheels of the engine derailed in Basin bridge which blocked the incoming line to the central station. No casualties were reported. According to media reports, more than eight local trains were detained.
