Former TN Chief Minister O Paneerselvam had reportedly issued statements regarding the merger between the two factions. According to media reports, after Friday’s meeting with senior members of the party, the former CM had said that a merger will happen and the same will be announced in a couple of days. He said, “like the late Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa’s wish, AIADMK will work with unity and serve the people of Tamil Nadu”, according to media reports.
