According to reports, a girl, Anitha, committed suicide by hanging herself in Kumulur of Ariyalur district on Friday as she failed to clear the National eligibility-cum-entrance test (NEET). Anitha reportedly scored 86 out 700 in the exam. Reports added that Anitha had scored 1176 out of 1200 with a cut-off of 196.5 in 12th standard board exam.
